Throughout the world, the 2005 harvest has been heralded as one of the most important in the last few decades. A warm fall following a cool, pleasant summer made for a later than average harvest, providing extended fruit hang and excellent sugar development and balanced acids. The 2005 vintage has the potential to be a signature vintage from Napa Valley.

EPISODE 2005 is blend of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 7% Petit Verdot. The deep, dark garnet color foretells of the intense aroma that follows, full of ripe blackberry and mulberry. The twenty months in French oak left its mark with clove and spice that intermingles with the fruit in perfect harmony. According to Doug Fletcher, Terlato Family Vineyards winemaker, "The long, cool growing season in 2005 gave us a wine that is intense yet balanced: it has berry flavors backed with tannin but with lively acidity that balances the other two. The flavor lingers for an amazing length of time, which we feel is a hallmark of a world class wine.
